Winnie the Pooh is quite possibly one of the most famous stories. The honey-loving, charming bear and his friends have long been a beloved bedtime story for many generations. A new twist on the well-known story, however, is about to come out in the form of a slasher film titled Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey Shocked Fans
If you were expecting a walk down memory lane with the good ol’ Pooh, Piglet, and Co., you’ll be disappointed. The new film offers a twisted and rather terrifying interpretation of the classic childhood tale. In Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, viewers will see a sledgehammer-wielding Pooh, an evil Piglet, and a whole lot of other unexpected plot twists.
This time around, the otherwise sweet bear is out to scare in the Rhys Waterfield-directed slasher film that managed to shock the story’s nostalgic audience when the first photos of the movie were released in May. As Waterfield put it, himself, viewers should prepare for a wild ride since both Pooh and Piglet will be “going on a rampage” in the upcoming film. Not only that, but their good pal Christopher Robin will be going off to college!
What Will the Film Be About?
When talking about Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, director Waterfield made one thing very clear — Pooh and Piglet are most definitely not how you remember them, and Christopher is largely to blame for it. Pooh and Piglet experienced a sudden drop in food as Christopher was growing up, and over time, they became increasingly hungry and feral. They even had to eat Eeyore…
It’s when Christopher returns to introduce them to his wife that Pooh and Piglet get “enraged” and all hell breaks loose. If anything, there’ll be a lot of action in this terrifying twist of the beloved classic tale.
